The annual WWE 2K Showcase mode has highlighted individual wrestlers in the past, beginning with Rey Mysterio in 2K22 and then following with John Cena last year. For WWE 2K24, however, the attention shifts to Wrestlemania, the biggest show on the WWE calendar, as 2K Sports has released first details on WWE 2K24’s Showcase Of The Immortals Mode.
This year’s showcase will feature 21 matches spanning all five decades of Wrestlemania, from the late 1980s to last year’s two-day event in Los Angeles. As with previous years, players will unlock new matches by completing each individual match, with extra unlocks for completing certain challenges. The mode will also feature instant transitions from in-game action to real-life footage of the match being played using the game’s Slingshot technology.
2K has revealed 16 of the 21 matches players will experience in their Showcase Of The Immortals runs, which feature members of the WWE 2K24 roster like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, Rhea Ripley, and more. One notable exception from the revealed list is Brock Lesnar, who has recently been removed from the game’s cover art due to his alleged connections with the Vince McMahon lawsuit.
