If you want a chance to relive the beauty of 2023’s best animated movie (I said what I said!), there’s a limited edition Blu-ray and DVD set of Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume on sale for $33.49 (down 48% from $64.98) for Amazon’s October Prime Day. When we originally surfaced this deal in July, it was selling for $44.49, so we wanted to clue you in on this even better discount. This special edition comes with extra features, like a director’s commentary and a making of featurette, along with a limited edition art book and art cards. The movie is so beautiful, and I want to pore over every single page in that art book.

Suzume is a culmination of Shinkai’s career thus far, taking all the themes that almost worked in Your Name and Weathering With You, about human interconnectedness in the face disaster, and pulling it off fantastically. Even though it’s about a giant creature causing earthquakes across Japan and a hot boy turned into a chair, at its core, Suzume is about one teenage girl processing her trauma. In true Shinkai fashion there’s plenty of spacious blue skies and an eclectic connection between the two leads — but Suzume is also rooted in a more tangible real life tragedy, which gives its story some extra depth and oomph.
