Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 are on sale for their lowest price ever for October Prime Day

I’m a big fan of Apple’s AirPods Pro. I’ve owned my pair since before I switched back to the iPhone. In fact, I probably don’t need to tell you why they’re great, but I will anyway by the end of this post. More to the point, however: Apple AirPods Pro 2 are on sale for $168.99 (was $249), a 32% discount as part of Amazon’s October Prime Day and the lowest price we’ve seen yet at $80 off.

This is the newest generation of the AirPods Pro, having first debuted in September 2022 alongside the iPhone 14, and it checks a lot of boxes of what we look for in earphones: the sound is great, the microphone deftly picks up my voice and cuts out background chatter, and they generally fit very comfortably. (The box includes four pairs of silicon tips to help you get the right size for your ear.)

Pairing these with an Apple device is very simple but they work nearly just well on Android and other gadgets via Bluetooth 5.3. Even if you aren’t connected to an Apple device, you can still use its noise control features just by long-pressing one of the sides, which allows for full transparency of your surroundings (great for walking outside) as well as noise cancellation (great for noisier environments like city streets, or on a flight).

They’ve also received FDA authorization to be turned into hearing aids at some point soon, something the Amazon product page on the AirPods Pro proudly marquees — and as someone who’s had to shop for hearing aids for family members, I am very happy for this bit right here.

But even if you’re just looking for something for your laptop, console, Steam Deck, or Quest VR headset, there are few options as high quality and as pocketable as the AirPods Pro 2. At least until the next generation — but they won’t be on sale for this price anytime soon.
