As announced during the opening showcase of Summer Game Fest, Alan Wake 2 is finally getting a physical release on PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year. The new physical versions include an $80 deluxe edition, published by Epic Games, that drops on October 22–a year after the game’s initial release–and a $200 collector’s edition from Limited Run Games slated for December. Preorders for both versions are live now.
While they’re more expensive than the standard digital edition that released last year, both physical versions include a bunch of extra content in addition to the base game. Let’s go over everything that comes with the Alan Wake 2 Deluxe and Collector’s editions, plus where you can preorder them.
Along with these new physical editions, developer Remedy Games also revealed a new premium DLC story expansion, Alan Wake 2: Night Springs, which adds three new chapters to the game and includes new playable characters. There’s also a new, free photo mode for the base game. The Alan Wake 2: Night Springs expansion and photo mode launched on June 8. While the Night Springs DLC is included with the upcoming physical releases, those who already own the digital versions of the game can access it through the $20 Alan Wake II season pass.
