Call Of Duty: Warzone Last Hours Of Verdansk Event Starts Tuesday

Call of Duty: Vanguard will get Warzone integration with the new Caldera map on December 8, but players will get one final event to say goodbye to the Verdansk map. In addition to the ongoing Operation: Flashback limited-time mode and the Secrets of the Pacific event, the Last Hours of Verdansk begins on November 30. The launch of this event will likely follow Call of Duty’s normal update schedule with a 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET start time.

There are few details about this Warzone grand finale, so it’s uncertain if this will be a limited-time mode or just a cinematic cutscene to close out players’ time in Verdansk. In a Call of Duty blog, the Last Hours of Verdansk is vaguely described as allowing players to “see what happens to Verdansk before Warzone goes dark to prepare for Caldera.” Activision also says to “expect a spectacular and fitting end to your time in Verdansk as we say farewell to the Kastovian city… forever?”

Activision also teased the event by saying, “bombs away,” which could mean Verdansk is getting nuked again. Hopefully the event is not too similar to Black Ops Cold War’s integration into Warzone with the two-part Destruction of Verdansk event, which saw the modern version of Verdansk get nuked to stop the spread of a zombie outbreak. And most recently, Verdansk experienced World War II bomber strikes during the initial Vanguard reveal event. Regardless, we’ll be updating this information as more details surface about the Last Hours of Verdansk and any participation rewards that might be included.

Warzone will then head to the Pacific with the Caldera map for Vanguard’s Season 1. Warzone is a free-to-play game, but Vanguard players will get 24 hours of exclusive access to the new Caldera map during this period. During this exclusive access, Warzone’s smaller Rebirth Island map will remain unlocked for everyone else to play. For more details on what to expect with the new Caldera map and Vanguard integration, here is everything we know about Warzone Pacific and Vanguard’s Season 1 update on December 8.

This Call of Duty content is scheduled to continue as Activision Blizzard faces lawsuits and other investigations related to alleged sexual harassment and discrimination against women. Most recently, Kotick reportedly said he will consider stepping down from Activision Blizzard if issues aren’t fixed quickly.
