For soccer fans looking to guide their favorite team to Premier League glory, EA Sports FC 24 is the place to be. Essentially a rebrand of the FIFA series that doesn’t cost EA an obscene amount of cash for licensing rights, this is soccer business as usual that retains all of the official teams, leagues, and players. And if you’re looking to score a bargain, you can get the soccer sim for its lowest price yet.

Normally $70, EA Sports FC 24 has dropped to $50 at Amazon and Best Buy. This deal applies to the PS5, PS4, Xbox versions (Series X and Xbox One). If the PS5 version sells out, it’s worth noting that the PS4 edition of the game includes a free current-gen upgrade so that you can access both versions on your PS5 console and not lose out on any of the technical improvements. These games also have cross-play functionality, so you can take on your friends regardless of which system they’re playing on.

Like the FIFA games, EA Sports FC 24 utilizes the Frostbite Engine to deliver incredibly detailed graphics. The gameplay has been further refined to feel more realistic than ever, and for authenticity, the sim has more than 19,000 real-life players, over 700 teams, and more than 30 leagues to play in. Sure, you only need Liverpool, but it’s nice to have all those other teams available and ready to lose to the Reds.

“Aside from the new name and logo being emblazoned on almost every menu screen in sight, you’d be hard-pressed to distinguish EA Sports FC 24 from the latest FIFA game,” Richard Wakeling wrote in GameSpot’s EA Sports FC 24 review. “In short, EA’s latest football sim introduces a number of subtle improvements to its on-pitch action while sprinkling in some incremental additions to long-standing game modes like Ultimate Team and Career. It still offers an exciting, albeit familiar, game of back-and-forth football, but the demanding yearly release schedule isn’t doing the series any favors. Even with the fancy new rebrand, EA FC is an expected follow-up to FIFA 23, offering a slight evolution rather than anything revelatory.”
