One of the most sought-after Final Fantasy compilations–Final Fantasy I-VI Pixel Remaster for the Nintendo Switch and PS4–is finally available at major retailers in the US as of today, October 8. The initial print run went up for preorder exclusively at the Square Enix Store in late 2022 and sold out extremely fast. It seems like Square prepared for the huge demand, as you can still buy the Anniversary Edition at multiple retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy. It is currently sold out at Target, though. The Anniversary Edition comes with a sticker sheet of character sprites. All six games are installed on cartridge (Switch) or disc (PS4).
Final Fantasy I-VI Collection – Anniversary Edition costs $75. If have a Prime membership, you may be able to get free one- or even same-day delivery. It’s worth noting that Walmart has the Switch version for $70 at the moment–it’s sold by a third-party reseller and fulfilled by Walmart–but this appears to be the original release. There’s no difference between the two editions other than the sticker sheet that’s included with the Anniversary Edition.
If you pick it up from Amazon this week, don’t forget that Prime Big Deal Days runs October 8-9. There are some Final Fantasy products included in the massive sale, including several books and Blu-rays that are eligible for Amazon’s buy two, get one free sale. Plus, you can grab the Final Fantasy 14 Cookbook for only $13.66.
