Last call to save 90% on digital board game essentials from Humble

If you were looking to satiate your board game love with a collection of digital adaptations, now’s your chance. Humble’s Board Game Night with Dire Wolf and Friends features nine of the best digital board games for as low as $18, a savings of 90%. It’s a great deal that includes Dune: Imperium, Terraforming Mars, Wingspan, Scythe, and more — games that been honored by both Gen Con’s Ennie Awards and the Spiel des Jahres — but be sure to act fast, as this Humble Bundle expires on Friday, Aug. 23 at 9 p.m. EDT / 6 p.m. PDT.

The full list of games in the bundle includes:

  • Dune: Imperium
  • Everdell
  • Munchkin Digital
  • A coupon for 30% off Munchkin Digital: The Unnatural Axe DLC
  • Root
  • A coupon or 50% off Root: The Riverfolk Expansion DLC
  • Quilts and Cats of Calico
  • Sagrada
  • Scythe
  • Terraforming Mars
  • Terraforming Mars: Prelude DLC
  • Terraforming Mars: Hellas & Elysium DLC
  • Wingspan

As is Humble Bundle’s wont, there are several tiers offered, so if you’d prefer to just dip your toes into the digital boards, paying $7 will get you Sagrada, Scythe, Root and a 50% coupon for its Riverfolk Expansion DLC.

As much as I love board games, there can be several limiting factors to actually playing, from coordinating and teaching the rules to a group of friends to setting up and keeping track of all the pieces. That’s where digital adaptations have become a godsend, which lets me enjoy games on my own schedule without a lot of setup or fuss. Case in point, I’ve played my physical version of Wingspan less than 10 times, whereas I’ve put in dozens of hours into my iPhone version, often on a subway or plane trip where bringing out a physical board would be absolutely frowned upon by everyone around me. This Humble Bundle deal is great for anyone else who wants to appreciate some of the best board games out there without taking up any precious table or shelf space.
