When I’m hunting for a new charging device — either to buy myself or to recommend to Polygon readers for their Steam Decks, Switch, phone, or tablet — cuteness isn’t a factor. But Ugreen’s new Uno Nexode 65 W portable charger adds some welcome expressiveness to the until-now boring business of recharging your gadgets. Once it’s plugged into a wall outlet, its small screen displays an emoji that changes depending on charging progress. It’s $32.49 now for Amazon Prime subscribers ($49.99 for everyone else) and comes in a range of 3 color schemes.

Do you need another screen in your life? Absolutely not. But the reasons why I’m sold on this particular charger (in addition to the screen) is because its 65 W charging speed is more than enough to charge the Steam Deck at the same rate as Valve’s own charger — not to mention the Switch, which requires less power. Not only that, with a total of two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, it can divvy up its power to up to three devices at once (45 W goes to one device, while 7.5 W go to each of the remaining two). If you only plug cables into the USB-C ports, leaving the USB-A port empty, it’ll charge at 45 W and 20 W — more than enough to quickly charge both a console and a phone.

While you’re chewing on whether to snag this gizmo at a discount, consider pairing it with the Anker 2-in-1 USB-C cable that Polygon covered a couple weeks ago. It’s a 4-foot, braided cable that splits into two USB-C heads, letting you charge — you guessed it — two devices through one power source. It was $21.99 with a Prime membership the last time I wrote about it, but it’s now $19.99.
