If you’d like a memento that celebrates Sega’s console history, Square Enix is producing a series of remarkably detailed miniatures inspired by the Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, and Saturn. Each miniature is currently available to pre-order from Amazon for $43.99 each but won’t begin shipping until July next year.

The weighty replicas are full of immaculate, hand-painted details, right down to the individual buttons on each included controller. To give a sense of scale, the Square Enix store page lists the Dreamcast console at 0.63 in x 1.58 in x 1.65 in, and the controller with similar proportions… so yeah, a bit on the smaller side compared with the original console’s dimensions (2.97 in x 7.48 in 7.71 in).

While they’re best known as the house that produced Sonic the Hedgehog and provided some much-needed competition for the Nintendo juggernaut in the early 1990s, Sega was also responsible for some of the most influential consoles during the 16- and 32-bit eras of gaming history. Consoles like the Sega Genesis and Sega Dreamcast were the only way you could experience titles like Sonic the Hedgehog, Vectorman, Jet Set Radio, and Shenmue.
