This Limited-Edition Pokemon Vinyl Features The Original Japanese Theme Songs

Pokemon Mezase Pokemon Master / Hyaku Gojuu Ichi, the first vinyl dedicated to Pokemon’s first Japanese anime opening and ending, is coming soon. It’s now available to preorder ahead of its launch on January 5, 2024.

You can get the Pokemon vinyl for $33 from Walmart or Barnes and Noble from the links below. Amazon‘s preorders have already sold out (at least for now), so we’d recommend ordering as soon as possible, if interested:

The Pokemon vinyl jacket, lining, and goodies that come with it.

The vinyl comes with an Ash (or as the Japanese call him, Satoshi) and Pikachu sticker and illustrated Pokedex-shaped booklet. Its protective jacket, inner bag, and label all feature art in the style of the original Pokemon anime, too.

The Pokemon Mezase Pokemon Master / Hyaku Gojuu Ichi vinyl includes two tracks from the anime: Mezase Pokemon Master and Hyaku Gojuu Ichi. “Mezase Pokemon Master” loosely translates to “become a Pokemon master,” Satoshi’s main goal until the end of his run as the series’ main character. “Hyaku Gojuu Ichi” means 151, symbolizing the 151 Pokemon that the series originally started with. These are the names of the opening and ending songs, respectively.

The songs in Pokemon Mezase Pokemon Master / Hyaku Gojuu Ichi didn’t end up coming to the U.S. That’s why western audiences might remember Pikachu’s jukebox or the 2.B.A. Master album instead. Still, the album is worth thinking about if you do know its songs or want the goodies that come it.
