Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth may only be the middle chapter of this retelling of a classic story, but it’s packed to the brim with things to do and achieve throughout dozens of hours of gameplay. While you’re out there navigating the planet doing side-quests and completing objectives in the open-world segments, you’ll also be consistently leveling up your characters. The max level in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is 70. This is an increase over Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s max level of 50, though it’s worth noting that you actually start this middle chapter of the game much lower than that, meaning that there’s plenty of room to grow on your quest to hitting level 70 this time around.
Reaching level 70 is going to be quite a feat, so you’ll almost certainly want to beat the game and head into Hard Mode to finish the process, as you may find that the XP grind on Easy and Normal will hold you back too much. But if you’re going for the coveted platinum trophy in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll need to beat Hard Mode anyway, so that’s all just part of the experience. You might as well work toward multiple goals at once, right?
